Zanjeer 2012

I heard the classic Zanjeer is being Remade in Hindi. I am starting a new post.This will be what i would like to see as a new version of Zanjeer.I would like to thank the creators of Zanjeer for giving us such a good movie. I would also like them to pardon my impudence in tweaking the story to my convinience. This is just a work of fiction and not to hurt anybody's feelings. Cast which i would choose Special Officer Subash: Vikram Gokhale Ranjith Patkar: Anupam Kher Young Vijay: Aditya Narayan (Son of Udith Narayan) Sumithra: Kiron Kher New Delhi, India Special Officer. Subash entered the special forces security facility after punching in the secret code. He went straight to interrogation cabin 227 located in the second floor. He was not in a very good mood. He had to release Ranjith today. Ranjith Patkar was free to go. After 6 weeks of intense intelligence activity behind the scenes, Special Officer Subash had managed to nab him. But all that was of no use. Though he was the only clue who could lead to all the major names involved in the 'Bloody Sunday' incident,which killed close to 2400 people across the country due to duplicate saline bottles sold from different major companies. All the companies had filed charges stating the deliveries that had reached the hospitals had either been tampered or had been replaced. This was a huge racket and had also costed a lot of lives. Subash was in no mood to leave Ranjith walk away for his crime. But he had his orders not to detain Ranjith Patkar anymore without any reason or evidence. He walked in, saw Ranjith and his blood boiled. 'You have a lot of people supporting you from outside, don't you? You filthy rat?' 'They want you free. Don't think they like you.It is just to make sure you do not spell out their names' 'You will realise when you suffer like all those families of people who died' Ranjith sighed. He did not utter a word. Subash placed a travel bag in front of Ranjith. 'Your belongings.Check them and walkout from here. 2 Officers waiting outside will escort you to the entrance where a black BMW will wait for you. Get into that. You will be safely dropped at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Tickets have been booked based on your request by your lawyer who contacted us. He will meet you at the airport with your son and wife. Two officers will accompany you in the flight for safety reasons. Ranjith is happy but also is wondering why his daughter Sheetal had not planned to see him. Subash, stood up with a bad taste in his mouth. As if he had uttered something which was leaving a bad taste lingering in his mouth. He turned to leave and then stopped. 'Ranjith, think of all those who died. Do you think you will achieve something by supporting the ba****** who were the reason for this?' No reply from Ranjith. Subash walked out of the interrogation room and slams the door behind him. Two officers standing outside turn on hearing the sound to see Subash leave. After greeting the special officer they continue to wait. Ranjith steps out after 5 minutes. After a 25 minute drive through the traffic, the black BMW pulls in front of the waiting area of Terminal 3 in Indira Gandhi International Airport. Ranjith steps out of the car and is happy to see his son Vijay and his wife Sumitra waiting for him.His wife's eyes are puffed from crying. Vijay seems to be distracted playing with a video game equipment but is very happy on seeing Ranjith. He drops the video game and runs to embrace his father whom he had not met for some time. Rantjih walks towards Sumithra and asks where is Sheetal. That is when Ranjith realises that something is amiss. Sumithra explains amidst tears that Sheetal passed away a week ago, due to usage of duplicate saline when she had been admitted for some fever and infection. Ranjith Patkar, realises that what Subash had said was true. Without him realising tears start rolling down his eyes. Vijay picks up his video game and holds his father's hands. Ranjith Patkar decides at that moment, he will no longer indulge in activities which were illegal. Tells his lawyer that he will go home and then after discussing is ready to give his confession to the media. He asks his lawyer to arrange for required paper work and a meeting with the media people. He walks into the airport with Sumithra and Vijay. A man standing behind one of the nearby pillars at the airport lounge connects to an international number. 'Chief, We have a problem.' (A big bad series of loud laughter is heard from the other end of the phone) 'As expected. You know the solution too don't you? Dont waste my time dear. Call me with good news'...The line goes dead.
