For a non-smoker to understand what it feels to quit smoking watch No Smoking. Akad hai sale mein...i mean JOhn Abraham ka 'K' character mein.
The character is arrogant and smokes at his will. What happens when he sees one of his friend has quit smoking and is adamant not to smoke again? What happens when Anjali decides to leave K for smoking? What happens when K meets Baba Bangali?
I would say ... watch the movie.
There is a scary resemblance to concentration camp treatments. There are locales which remind you of dungeons of punishment post death like Inferno. It is abstract...very abstract for those who do not know what smoking is and yet it leaves a bad touchy feeling when you end the movie.
For those who smoke...i dont know it might even feel like a nightmare. Especially the demonish smiles on the face of Ranvir Shourey when he get K the appointment.
Once a friend of mine said that a guy who was a chain smoker quit smoking one fine day when he decided to binge smoke for hours which resulted in him not liking the flavour anymore in his mouth.
But this movie is not about that....Its a different angle and Anurag does justice to his script and choice of actors.
Movie Buffs please do not miss it! I know you wouldnt have. I have seen this very late. But nevertheless!
